Giardini Poseidon ticket prices vary by season. Here is the current pricing structure:

A €5 cash deposit is required for the entry wristband — you get it back when you return the wristband at the exit. Always verify the latest prices on the official Poseidon website before your visit.

What is included in the Giardini Poseidon entrance ticket?

The entrance fee covers access to all the main facilities of the park. Specifically, your ticket includes:

• Access to all 20 thermal pools (temperatures from 28°C to 40°C)
• Access to the private beach on Citara Bay (May to September)
• Japanese soaking tub and pebble walking path
• Natural steam grotto built in the Greco-Roman tradition
• Kneipp therapy pools (alternating 40°C and 15°C)
• Use of sun loungers, deck chairs and umbrellas (subject to availability)
• Changing rooms and showers
• Free aquagym class every morning at 10:00 (except August)

Not included: wellness treatments and massages, food and drinks at the three on-site restaurants, and the use of sun loungers, which are always available throughout the thermal park area.

Children's tickets and age restrictions

Giardini Poseidon is family-friendly, with specific rules for younger visitors:

• Ages 0–3: free entry
• Ages 4–11: 50% discount on any ticket type
• Under 12: access to the beach and seawater pools only — the thermal area is restricted for safety reasons

A swimming cap is required in all pools, for adults and children alike.

Giardini Poseidon Terme reopens on 18 April 2026 and remains open daily until 31 October 2026.

How to get to Giardini Poseidon Ischia

Giardini Poseidon is located on Citara Bay in Forio, on the western coast of Ischia. There are several ways to get there:

• By bus: take line 172 from Ischia Porto towards Forio, take line 193 from Sant'Angelo — get off at the "Citara – Giardini Poseidon" stop, about 100 metres from the entrance. This is the easiest and cheapest option.
• By car or scooter: follow signs for Forio then Baia di Citara. A large guarded car park is available at the entrance (€8/day for cars, €5/day for scooters).
• By taxi: around €40 from Ischia Porto, journey time 20–30 minutes.

Tips to make the most of your visit

• Go on a weekday — especially in July and August, weekends can get very busy. Weekdays offer a quieter, more relaxing experience.
• Arrive early — the best sun loungers go fast, particularly in high season. Arriving at opening (9:00 AM) gives you first pick.
• Bring your own towel and flip-flops — you'll need them on the rocky pool edges and in the changing rooms.
• Bring a swimming cap — It is mandatory in all swimming pools and can be purchased on site.
• Consider the afternoon ticket — if you're a late starter, the afternoon entry saves €5 and still gives you 6 hours in the park.
• Have cash for the deposit — the €5 wristband deposit must be paid in cash.

Giardini Poseidon or Sorgeto Bay — which should you choose?

A question many visitors ask. The honest answer: they offer completely different experiences.

Giardini Poseidon is a full-day organised resort — pools, beach, restaurants, spa treatments, and a wellness centre, all in a beautifully maintained park setting. It costs €50 per person but offers exceptional value for a full day of facilities.

Sorgeto Bay is the wild, free alternative — natural volcanic pools in a raw rocky cove, open year-round, at no cost. It's raw, authentic and unforgettable, but has no sun loungers or facilities.

If you're staying near Panza, you can easily do both: visit Sorgeto Bay on foot from the hotel (5 minutes), and spend one full day at Poseidon by scooter.
